Chris Seater – Art Director, Designer.


Chris is the founder of and major shareholder in Seater Design (SD). He has a degree in design from Swinburne Art College, Melbourne, Australia. His experience prior to Chris Seater Design was in the design department of publishers Lloyd O'Neill and Penguin Books, Australia.
 
Chris received an award from the 2004 National Print Awards, Melbourne, Australia for a unique publication that took out the coveted Heidelberg Gold Award. The winning entry was entitled 'The National Story', a book on the history of the National Golf Club based at Cape Schanck in Victoria, Australia.

Chris has also received awards for his work from the Australian Business Awards and the Melbourne Art Director's Club. He has worked with Addison in the UK (the people responsible for the worldwide re-brand of BP service stations) and has been involved in projects in Singapore, San Francisco and London. Working in an advisory capacity, Chris consolidated the image of the communication documentation of National Australia Financial Management (NAFM), Melbourne, Australia. He administered and implemented the re-branding of all new product rollouts prior to the acquisition of MLC by the National Bank.

His work involves all aspects of design and branding application. His no nonsense approach and 25 years design experience means that he can apply the craft to difficult and real life situations to successful and inspired solutions. His interests in design coupled with his artistic passion inspired him to open a gallery in Melbourne - HoGallery to promote and assist young artists to gain exposure and experience, and to help local causes through art.
